The living green expo
District Energy employees staffed an exhibit booth at the
Living Green Expo held in May, at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds. This is the tenth year of the expo and attracted about 25,000 people. Employees enjoyed meeting attendees; providing information about our environmentally friendly, renewable energy services; and distributing sunflower seed packets and postcards portraying the solar thermal district energy installation atop the Saint Paul RiverCentre.
The Living Green Expo features more than 270 exhibitors showcasing environmentally sound products, service and practices; workshops on a variety of topics ranging from backyard composting to hybrid vehicle technology; performances by musicians; fun, free activities for the kids; and an opportunity to sample locally-grown food.
