Dallas, Texas, October 17, 2011 – District Energy St. Paul is pleased to announce that the Solar Thermal District Energy Project was awarded one of five innovation awards from the Interstate Renewable Energy Council (IREC) under the category of community renewables. This year’s Innovation Awards were selected through a competitive process and targeted initiatives aimed at supporting clean energy workforce development, community renewables, state and local government and K-12 projects.

emily smith awarded ashrae certification

April 15, 2011 — Ever-Green Energy is pleased to announce that Senior Mechanical Engineer Emily Smith has earned the Building Energy Assessment Professional certification from the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers. The ASHRAE certification affirms her ability to audit and analyze residential, commercial, and industrial buildings including determining project scope, collecting data, analyzing building performance, interpreting results, evaluating alternatives, submitting recommendations for energy conservation measures, and assisting with the implementation of these recommendations.

Thermal renewable energy and efficiency act (treea) introduced

July 22, 2010 — Today, U.S. Sens. Al Franken (D-Minn.) and Kit Bond (R-Mo.), and Congresswoman Betty McCollum (D-Minn.) introduced the bi-partisan Thermal Renewable Energy and Efficiency Act. The Thermal Renewable Energy and Efficiency Act would offer incentives to increase the use of district energy and combined heat and power systems to heat and cool buildings throughout the country. Reps. Jay Inslee (D-Wash.) and Paul Tonko (D-N.Y.) are also original co-sponsors

June 15 , 2010 —The International District Energy Association presented its System of the Year Award to District Energy St. Paul June 15 during ceremonies at the association's 101st Annual Conference & Trade Show in Indianapolis, Indiana. District Energy St. Paul is only the second system to win the award twice. The company also received IDEA's System of the Year in 1993, the first year the award was presented.

Anders Rydaker Named "Person of the Year" by IDEA

June 20, 2007 — Anders Rydaker, president of District Energy St. Paul, received the International District Energy Association's prestigious Norman R. Taylor Award during ceremonies yesterday at the organization's 98th Annual Conference & Trade Show in Scottsdale, Ariz. The award is the highest distinction IDEA can confer on an individual as 'person of the year,' recognizing that person's career achievements and contributions to the association and the district energy and combined heat and power industries.

September 19, 2006 — District Energy St. Paul has been named the winner of the 3rd Annual Inspiring Efficiency innovation Award for its "Green Energy" program. The award will be presented by the Midwest Energy Efficiency Alliance (MEEA) at MEEA's annual "Solutions" Conference, September 27-28 in Chicago. District Cooling Begins Construction of New Thermal Storage Tank

June 6, 2002 — District Cooling St. Paul, an affiliate of District Energy St. Paul, has begun construction of a new cooling plant at 10th and Sibley Streets in the northeast corner of downtown St. Paul. The new plant will allow the company to expand its service area while improving the efficiency and reliability of its current district cooling system, which serves nearly 60 percent of the downtown business district.
