George Latimer

George Latimer, a founder and first Chairman of District Energy St. Paul, was the Mayor of Saint Paul when District Energy St. Paul was launched as an important and innovative public-private partnership. Latimer was known for his innovative redevelopment of St. Paul’s downtown core. Latimer attended Saint Michael’s College and Columbia Law School and practiced law in Saint Paul from 1963 until he was elected mayor. Subsequently, Dean of a Law School, a HUD official and college teacher.
