Tony Poole

Tony was elected as business manager of Steamfitters Pipefitters Local 455 in 2018. In this role, he represents more than 1,600 licensed steamfitters and pipefitters working across a twenty-two county jurisdiction that includes Saint Paul and much of central Minnesota. In this role, Tony works directly with the community and employers to improve the welfare of members and the industry. Tony enjoys embracing new technologies and training, including investing in a state-of-the-art geothermal system for the union’s 100,000 square foot training center.

Tony began his career at the Local in 1998 when he was initiated into the union. After completing his apprenticeship, he became a journeyman working with various contractors and disciplines within the piping industry. He was then elected to the executive board in 2009. Tony has had a distinguished career supporting his members and organization. He remains steadfast in his commitment to creating opportunities for others to join and build partnerships between labor, management, and the community.
